Collective Thrive by Recess - A collage installation focused on the past, present, and future of what sustainability means to us and the steps we take as collective individuals. This installation uses recycled items to present how our global view of sustainability and environmental consciousness has transformed. Representing the past, present, and future, each panel reflects our interaction with the planet: a past of thoughtless overconsumption, our current desire to repair the environment, followed by a fragile, yet hopeful, future.
My role in the project was to produce an installation for the Lululemon Toronto community space. I sourced three local artists, Radha Pithadia, Cheyanne Lobo, and Cat Lamora to give their takes on what sustainability looks like to them. I also took the role in filming a promotional video for the installation that showcased a behind the scenes look at the making of the piece and sourced Toronto photographer Jeremy Marasigan to also document the process.
